Celebration of Life

At Elysian Fields Park, we believe every life deserves to be honored in a way that reflects the person behind the name—not just their passing, but their presence, their essence, and the legacy they leave behind. A Meaning of Life Celebration is an alternative to a traditional funeral—less formal, more personal, and deeply rooted in love. We provide a peaceful, natural setting where family and friends can gather to share stories, play music, plant a tree, fish by the pond, or simply be together in remembrance. Whether it's a catered meal, a ceremony under the trees, or something entirely your own, we help you create a celebration that feels true to the person you’re honoring.

Living Wake

A living wake is a powerful way to celebrate someone’s life while they’re still here to receive the love. At Elysian Fields Park, we provide a peaceful, natural setting for these heartfelt gatherings—where stories can be shared, gratitude expressed, and presence deeply felt. Whether you're planning something intimate or inviting a wider circle of friends and family, we offer use of our event space, including tables, chairs, bathrooms, and outdoor areas. Farm-to-table catering is available upon request, and we’ll work with you to create a personalized experience that honors the individual and the moment. Living wakes can include meals, music, fire pits, time with animals, or simply being together in a space that feels grounded, real, and full of meaning.

Repast Reception

A repast reception is a time to gather, share a meal, and support one another after a funeral or memorial. At Elysian Fields Park, we offer a peaceful, nature-based setting where family and friends can come together to remember and reflect. Tables, chairs, bathrooms, and both indoor and outdoor spaces are included, with the option to add farm-to-table catering or bring your own food. We’re also happy to coordinate with your funeral director, end-of-life doula, or spiritual advisor to ensure the reception flows smoothly and honors the tone of the day. Whether it’s quiet and intimate or full of laughter and storytelling, we’ll help you create a meaningful, respectful experience rooted in connection.

Reading & Nature Retreats

Elysian Fields Park offers a peaceful, distraction-free space for writers, readers, scholars, and anyone seeking solitude in nature. These retreats are ideal for those needing time to think, read, journal, or work on a creative project away from the noise of daily life. Guests have access to the main building, the guesthouse, and yurt, as well as trails, ponds, farm animals, and outdoor seating areas throughout the property.

You can spend the day walking, resting, reading in the sun, or writing by the fire. Meals can be self-prepared or added on through our farm-to-table catering options. This isn’t a packed schedule or a performance-based retreat—it’s time set aside for restoration, reflection, and uninterrupted focus, held gently by the land itself.

Indigenous Ceremony Practitioners

Elysian Fields Park offers sacred space for Indigenous and earth-based ceremony practitioners to lead transformative, culturally rooted rituals on land that honors cycles, spirit, and deep healing. Lodging is included in both the four-bedroom guesthouse and fully furnished yurt, creating space for rest, preparation, and integration.

We welcome grief rituals, fire ceremonies, ancestral rites, and end-of-life ceremonies from Mexican, Peruvian, African diasporic, Eastern, and other earth-honoring traditions. For practitioners working with ceremonial modalities that require a held container—spiritual, physical, and energetic—we provide a safe, private environment to support that work. All practices must be in right relationship, grounded in consent, integrity, and respect for the land.

This is a sanctuary for deep work—not a venue for performance or spectacle. We honor the sacred and those who are called to steward it.
